What is future planning?
Unlike life's purpose, future planning deals more with the smaller
things that lead up to your primary purpose in life. These smaller
planning tools are developed the same way you discovered your
primary purpose in life.
I call your goals tools
because they all ultimately lead you in the right direction toward
financial success. You must take inventory on your goals and figure
out how to get them in the correct chronological order. Planning for
your future can be a lot of fun once you get into it because you can
start to see a definite pattern in everything you do or want to do.
Everything you've done thus
far in life has lead you where you are today. Was it a straight road
with a few holes here and there or was it a hair raising twisted
mess? For most people without a plan, it has been a pretty chaotic
ride so far. But, it didn't come without a lot of learning along the
way.
Everything you do in life is
for a reason. It either leads you closer to your dreams or teaches
you what not to do the next time. These lessons are essential to
your learning, but you want to minimize them as much as you can.
That's the purpose of future planning.
What is future planning is
further explained on the next page, showing you the categories of
consideration when developing a future plan.
